If you don't know how to troubleshoot electronics your job is in jeopardy.

Heating and cooling equipment with integrated electronics is here to stay; it wasn't a fad, it's not limited to "high-end" equipment, and it's not going away. You have two choices:

a.      Stick your head in the sand and pretend you don't need to know this stuff.

b.       Accept it, and learn how to work on it.

(A) Guarantees you will either be delegated "Filter-Guy" or lose your job.                   

(B) Makes you more valuable to your employer, increases your pay, and secures your job (Unless you hit on the boss's wife at the company picnic, then you better polish up your resume).
