I’m too busy, I don’t have the time to…
I’ve heard it and I’ve said it more times than I care to remember.
Really, you couldn’t find five minutes in your busy day (and yes some of us are actually busy, however,…)
- “I don’t have 5 minutes to call my mother (kid, brother, etc…)”
- “I don’t have 10 minutes to read a book.”
- “I don’t have 15 minutes to work out.”
Here’s some math.
60 minutes x 24 hours = 1,440 minutes in a day. Yes, one thousand four hundred and forty minutes! And you (me) can’t find five, ten, fifteen or even thirty minutes to do something worthwhile? Come one, just the rounding error of 40 minutes each week, that works out to be over 4-1/2 hours a week, 242 hours in a year! Seriously, 242 hours!
Really, one thousand four hundred minutes in a day and you (me) can’t find the time?
I’m calling bullshit on this.
Sure if you’re working 12 hour days, you can’t find hours, but minutes? Come on! It’s time to start looking at hours and minutes you’re wasting.
It’s time to find a way to take at least the extra 40 minutes in a day, and do something meaningful with it.
